Portable Hand Lanterns

The dependable, durable Hand Lantern comes with a bracket (PC 25) attachment on the back, which enables it to be mounted to a wall, bulkhead or a truck for storage. This lantern can be powered with one or two 6 volt batteries and will provide 12-20 hours of light. Designed for the Navy, this watertight lantern is useful for construction workers, utility workers, recreational boaters and campers.

The Hand Lantern is manufactured to MIL-DTL-16377/53C and MIL-F-16377.

JMC has submitted the Body Assembly and Handle and Switch Assembly (2 component part of Hand Lantern) to the government for testing and has First Article Approval on both items.

SPECIFICATIONS

• BODY MATERIAL: Molded high impact plastic body, handle, cover and retainer ring. Yellow, MAI 60.
• LAMP OR BULB: Sealed incandescent, Par-36, screw terminal. Industry Number 4546.
• 4.8 Volts, 6,300 beam candlepower, hours of life 100 hours.
• 3 GASKETS: Lamp gasket, cover gasket, handle gasket. Rubber, Neoprene 45-55 Duro.
• Three gaskets are required to make the lantern water tight (Military Spec. 108E which requires unit to be operable in 3 ft of water for 1 hour).
• SCREWS AND INSERTS: Brass
• TOGGLE SWITCH AND WATER TIGHT BOOT
• MOUNTING BRACKET PC 25
• BATTERY (not furnished) May use 1 or 2 standard commercial 6 volt batteries.

COMBINATION RECHAGEABLE RELAY LANTERN (SYM 101.3) AND RECHARGEABLE HAND LANTERN (SYM 100.3) THIS LANTERN CAN BE MOUNTED ON THE BULK HEAD OR WALL AND USED AS EMERGENCY LIGHT SOURCE OR UNPLUGGED AND USED AS A HAND LANTERN.
