LED Retrofit Kit

MIL-DTL-M16377/53C, date: 27 September 2005, outlines requirements for a kit designed to replace the incandescent #4546 lamp in the Battle Lanterns. The LED Retrofit Kit (also called Kit, Retro Lantern) consist of (1) Plexiglass or plastic lens (2) A LED mounted on a back plate that will fit in the place of the #4546 incandescent lamp (3) A emitter controller. The kit assembly must be watertight and meet the photometric test required by the mil spec.

JMC has Retrofit Kits developed to meet these requirements. Installation of kit is fast and easy. Simply remove the front cover of the lantern, remove the retaining ring holding the lamp in place, remove the lamp, insert the LED assembly and replace the ring and cover.

LED assemblies provide a reliable white light with less draw on the battery
LED assemblies will provide emergency lighting for 30+ hours.
